I'm Rob. I live in Michigan, where we measure distances in hours, directions with a hand, and weather in “wait ten minutes.” [Add where in Michigan, if you like.]

By day I work in cyber security ([role or specialty]). The rest of the time I am usually listening to something, reading something, or losing a game of chess in an instructive way.

A note on this site

It is deliberately small: no tracking, no pop-ups, and a “Reading preferences” panel in the footer for text size, contrast, and motion. The colors come from home: the Great Lakes, the northern forests, and the dunes at Sleeping Bear.
